Environmental policy

BAM Decorient Indonesia is committed to conducting its activities in an environmentally responsible manner. Our goal is to meet the environmental protection standards expected by the community and government.

To accomplish this, PT BAM Decorient Indonesia will:

• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations and standards for the protection of the environment while aspiring to higher standards;
• Integrate environmental protection into our business by planning activities to avoid or mitigate adverse environmental impacts;
• Set appropriate environmental standards and incorporate measures to achieve those standards;
• Apply responsible standards where laws and regulations do not exist;
• Encourage staff and contractors to PT BAM Decorient Indonesia to develop a sense of responsibility for environmental protection by seeking their input and by providing training and information on environmental matters;
• Ensure that contractors and their employees understand and adhere to the PT BAM Decorient Indonesia environmental policy and procedures;
• Conserve resources by the efficient use of energy, by reductions of emissions and discharges, by eliminating unnecessary waste and recycling where practical;
• Respond quickly and effectively to environmental incidents arising from our operations; and ensure conformity with this policy with employee commitment including audits utilizing PT BAM Decorient Indonesia expertise and outside consultants. This environmental policy is embedded in PT BAM Decorient Indonesia management systems (DMS).

This policy applies to all PT BAM Decorient Indonesia controlled activities.
